Executive, Maintenance of Competency

Responsibilities:

You will monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of patient care provided by each medical specialist under the Maintenance of Competency (MOC) framework.  The MOC framework covers the Medical, Surgical and Ambulatory Disciplines.  You will be involved in the clinical data analysis and case reviews for selected procedures/medical conditions and key performance indicators as provided.

You will perform the role of a Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR) under the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP).  A minimum of 1,680 cases need to be reviewed per year. 

Requirements:

• A degree in Nursing or Medical with clinical coding experience will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with data extraction from relevant healthcare-information systems would be advantageous
• Basic knowledge of data collection/abstraction, analysis, reporting and sharing
• Knowledge of relevant International Statistical Classification of Diseases & Related Health Problems and Classification of Health Interventions/Surgeries will be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
• Good analytical skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written
• An independent worker who can also work well in a team, a strong collaborator
• Candidate must have fully completed Covid-19 vaccinations
