Childcare English Teacher, Childcare Centre

Your main job responsibility is to develop and plan early childhood programmes for children in the centre:

• Responsible for executing centre curriculum and activities with care and passion.
• Evaluating and documenting children’s developmental progress holistically in accordance to the MOE Curriculum Framework
• Carrying out infant observations, preparing portfolio and planning resources/teaching aids.
• Planning, creating and maintaining learning corners and materials for children.
• Communicating and working in partnership with Co-Teachers, parents and management.
• Embracing the Centre’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.
• Planning and creating a SPARK-ready environment

Requirements:

• Must have Diploma in Pre-school Education - Teaching (DPE-T) OR Diploma in Early Childcare and Education (DECCE - T)
• Preferably have at least 5 GCE "O" level credits including English Language
• Have been registered with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and attained a L2 certification
• Have a valid certificate in first aid recognised by ECDA
• Preferably have at least 2 years' teaching experience in a pre-school setting
• Demonstrate good communication skills
• Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices
• Possess classroom management skills and able to handle children's temperaments
• Possess the necessary skills to plan, execute and evaluate appropriate developmental lessons
• Working hours - 5-day week, with rostered duties on Saturday (half day), once per month Rotational basis starting at 7 am and ending at 7 pm
• Candidate must be fully vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccinations
