As a Research Manager, you will support the Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) Framework at Changi General Hospital, to advance RIE efforts through a “one-door” seamless support structure by:

  • Strengthening support for RIE projects from conceptualization to actualization
  • Facilitating CGH’s development and growth in RIE capabilities
  • Aligning RIE activities with the overall strategic direction of CGH

 

You will assist the RIE Chairman and RIE committee in achieving the vision and strategic goals of CGH’s key RIE initiatives and activities. You will assume overall responsibility for the administrative and operational functions under the RIE.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RIE Senior/Executive to provide support, establish guidelines and work instructions to ensure smooth operations of the RIE
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating with other functional groups within and beyond the organisation to support milestone achievements
  • Coordinate and provide inputs for grant application, including paper writing
  • Effective tracking and demonstration of effective implementation of strategic plans and utilisation of resources
  • Managing the operational and administrative functions of RIE, review to improve work processes to optimise use of resources where necessary and ensure smooth and effective operation of RIE
  • Plan, coordinate and execute events supported by RIE (e.g RIE Day, MOU signing ceremony etc) as required. Hosting and presenting where required, for ad-hoc projects, activities and initiatives
  • Provide secretarial support to RIE committees, related meetings and events

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in healthcare or science related fields
  • Minimum 6 years’ working experience in healthcare and/or research, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Familiarity with database and/ or statistical software would be an advantage.
  • Experience in research, grant proposal and paper writing preferred
  • Possess strong oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of GCP guidelines and research related regulations and guidelines would be advantageous
