Assistant Director (Smart Systems Planning), Eastern General Hospital Planning Office
The upcoming Eastern General Hospital (EGH) aims to provide excellent healthcare and promote healing centred around each person. When operational, EGH will provide a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient clinical specialties and healthcare services, covering emergency, acute and secondary care. EGH’s vision is to be a hospital for the community and a great workplace for staff. It seeks to do so by harnessing innovative technologies in patient care, journeying closely with patients and the community to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives, and being an employer of choice that empowers staff in their careers.
You will play a pivotal role in developing intelligent and autonomous systems that support both clinical and operational needs, contributing directly to our institution's mission of transforming healthcare service delivery. In this role, you will lead the development of EGH's technology adoption strategy and plans, in support of the future hospital’s business and operational needs. Working collaboratively with partners, you will oversee project schedules, budgets and contracts whilst facilitating the development of new models of care and enhanced patient journey experiences.
You will lead the team to do project scoping, workshops, research and development for the operation of intelligent systems and deploying strategies to transform care for healthcare. This involves actively identifying opportunities within existing care systems, participating in quality improvement projects across department, institution and cluster levels, and overseeing the technical execution of development tasks to ensure timely milestone completion.
Additionally, you will manage collaborations with stakeholders on engineering R&D projects to support the adoption of assistive and robotic systems in healthcare, ensure timely technical evaluations and adoption of appropriate solutions; and lead clinical and operations teams in working with development partners on prototype creation.
