Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Environmental Services), EGH Planning Office

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our Environmental Services (ES) team. You will play an instrumental role in supporting the planning, development and operational readiness of key hospital support services such as Housekeeping, Linen and Laundry, Waste Management, Pest Control and Landscape services for the new hospital campus.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical and non-clinical users, project teams and outsourced service partners, you will contribute to the development and implementation of operational models that support the hospital's vision, care delivery strategies and service excellence goals. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and optimising operational workflows, policies and procedures, while identifying opportunities to leverage technology, automation and smart solutions to enhance service effectiveness and operational efficiency.
The role encompasses supporting procurement and resource planning activities, including gathering user requirements, developing specifications and coordinating the acquisition and deployment of equipment, systems, supplies and services required for hospital operations. You will also contribute to Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) initiatives through operational planning, simulations, testing and staff training activities to ensure a smooth transition into the new hospital environment.
The role also includes supporting administrative and contract management activities, such as monitoring service performance, assisting in budgeting activities and ensuring compliance with organisational policies, service standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably healthcare related, with up to 2 years of related experience
- Candidates with more years of relevant experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager role
- Knowledge & skill in design thinking, change management, project management, process and technology adoption methodologies, would be a strong advantage.
- Experience in service or healthcare industry is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office application
- Team player with excellent planning, analytical and communication skills, possess critical thinking skills and willing to think outside of the box
- Able to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and a growing organisation
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging conditions
