Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist, Haematology Laboratory

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (Haematology Laboratory) at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital currently has a vacancy for a Medical Laboratory Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist. You will be an important member of the team providing scientific and technical input to the daily operations, process improvement, management and development of the Haematology Laboratory, specifically in the area of Special Coagulation. The successful candidate will be appointed as either a Medical Laboratory Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Requirements

• A good degree (BSc or MSc) in Haematology or Transfusion Science or Biomedical Science.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a hospital-based Haematology Laboratory. Experience in Special Coagulation will be an added advantage. (Candidate who does not meet this requirement may be considered for the Medical Laboratory Technologist position instead.)
• Ability and willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays and for on-call standbys.
• Experience in quality assurance for the testing of clinical specimens is preferred.
