Senior / Staff Nurse (Kids 0-3) - 2 Years Contract

KidSTART@KKH KIDS 0-3 service is an integrated system of care aiming to enhance the developmental potential of children from vulnerable families. Nurses play the crucial keyworker role, offering emotional support, information, and anticipatory guidance on antenatal, postnatal and infant care at different service points. The service provides holistic health and social care to mothers and children, focusing on antenatal and postnatal support, positive parenting practices, parent-child bonding, and overall family well-being to ensure each child achieves optimal health, growth and development. 

Your role involves providing support during antenatal and postnatal period by providing anticipatory care and advice to optimise health, nutrition and improve birth outcomes. You will need to perform mental wellness screenings and nutritional assessments and coordinating referrals. You will build positive relationship with parents / caregivers to impart child development knowledge and skills and facilitate parent-child bonding, developmental-centred parenting, and family well-being. In addition, you will collaborate with community and social service agencies to provide necessary support for client and family. 

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Nursing

• Post-basic qualification in Midwifery or Paediatrics (e.g. Post-basic Certificate/Advanced Diploma/ Postgraduate Diploma)

• At least 2 years’ working experience as a Staff Nurse

• Independent team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
