Associate / Research Coordinator (DMOGL)
The Division of Medical Oncology (DMO) Lung Research Team is seeking to employ a research coordinator to assist with recruitment and follow-up, data collection, and biological specimen collection and processing.
This role will be involved in lung cancer studies, including a multi-site lung cancer screening study that looks into screening modalities including blood based and imaging tests, and working with a team of research coordinators.
Potential candidates should be interested in the important public health challenge of reducing lung cancer mortality.
Responsibilities:
- Patient recruitment and obtaining informed consent
- Administration of questionnaires
- Follow-up with participants via email, phone, videoconferencing and/or notification letters
- Collection of clinical data, keep records of documentations, data entry, management of database, data cleaning and curation
- Collection and processing^ of biological specimens
- Any other duties required and assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Diploma OR Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or any relevant fields with experience in research or healthcare setting
- Ability to perform phlebotomy confidently preferred
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office
- Able to work independently and willing to be a committed team player
- Meticulous with good organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong interest in clinical and translational research and motivated to learn
^Laboratory training will be provided if candidate possesses a science, laboratory-based and/or relevant qualification.
