Associate / Research Coordinator (Solstice)

The NMRC funded inter-disciplinary lung cancer programme is seeking to employ a research coordinator to assist with study recruitment and follow-up, data collection, and biological specimen collection (and processing). This is a multi-site lung cancer screening study that looks into screening modalities including blood based and imaging tests. Potential candidates should be interested in the important public health challenge of reducing lung cancer mortality through early detection.

Responsibilities:

• Patient recruitment and obtaining informed consent
• Administration of questionnaires
• Follow-up with participants via email, phone, videoconferencing and/or notification letters
• Collection of clinical data, keep records of documentations, data entry and management of database
• Collection (and processing) of biological specimens
• Any other duties required and assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences or relevant fields with experience in research or healthcare setting
• Ability to perform phlebotomy preferred
• Computer literate, proficient in MS Office
• Able to work independently and willing to be a committed team player
• Meticulous with good organizational and time management skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong interest in clinical and translational research and motivated to learn
