ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Clinical Associates are foreign-trained doctors who are granted temporary medical registration to work in specific departments in the Hospital. They perform duties equivalent to that of a medical officer/junior resident. 

 

The Department of Hepato-pancreato-biliary and Transplant Surgery, Division of Surgery & Surgical Oncology is looking for a Clinical Associate to perform clinical duties as well as assist to conduct clinical and translational research. The position offers opportunities to train in state-of-the-art management of cancer as well as cutting edge clinical and translational research.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be in active clinical practice for the 3 years preceding the application for medical registration in Singapore
  • Possess basic Medical Degree from a medical university accredited in the state in which it was awarded
  • Have passed the relevant national licensing examination in the country of conferment of basic degree, where applicable
  • Have at least 3-5 years’ post-housemanship working experience as a Medical Officer in a reputable hospital
  • Possess BCLS and ACLS certification
  • Those who have completed residency training in a relevant discipline and possess relevant postgraduate qualifications will have an added advantage
  • Candidates whose undergraduate medical studies are not conducted in the English language must provide evidence of English Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL or OET)
