Executive (DSSOPC)
You will assist a Senior Clinician-Scientist (SCS) in the management of a nation-wide Liver Cancer clinical and translational research program which is muti-disciplinary and multi-institutional in scope. The program collaborates closely with industrial partners. The program also manages the Asia-Pacific Hepatocellular Carcinoma (AHCC) Trials Group. The AHCC Trials Group is a collaborative research group that conducts preventive and therapeutic trials in HCC, carry out translational research in this field and develop training and educational programs pertaining to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The AHCC Trials Group is hosted by the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
You will be part of a research group consisting of project management team, clinical team, the wet-lab team and bio-informatics team. There will be opportunities for growth and to work with all the teams to have a deep understanding in the management of translation and clinical research. The job offers opportunity to understand the conceptualisation and execution of large multi-site research programs and the opportunity to develop a network of academic and industrial contacts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a key facilitator to engage various internal and external stakeholders for potential international and multi-institution collaboration and also collaboration with industry.
- Manage the progress of the discussion and render assistance to ease collaborations between parties.
- Organise regular update meetings amongst the study teams and prepare meeting materials including agenda and/or presentation materials, logistics, and create summary of meetings.
- Opportunities to have hands-on experience in the initiation and maintenance of research activities such as developing SOPs, provision of necessary resources and ensuring completion of regulatory and contractual documents.
- Opportunities to work closely with both world-class academic researchers, clinical research organizations, vendors, pharmaceutical and biotech industry partners locally and overseas. There will be ample opportunities for learning and publication.

- Provide a broad range of high-level administrative support to the SCS and help plan, organize and manage research-related meetings and conferences.
- Make travel arrangements for the SCS including liaising with overseas parties on the programme.
Requirements:
- Degree in Science, Business or equivalent. An honours degree will be an advantage.
- A scientific background will be an advantage.
- Prior work experience in biomedical research or clinical trial and in managing projects will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proactive, possess good time management and multi-tasking skill.
- Task-oriented and willing to work irregular hours when the situation requires it.
- Experience with communicating with individuals of various national backgrounds and clinical disciplines.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
