About Us:
The Program in Translational and Clinical Liver Cancer Research is a dynamic enterprise within the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) that conducts leading clinical and translational research in primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)). Nested within the program is the Secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Hepatocellular Carcinoma (AHCC) Trials Group. The AHCC Trials Group is a collaborative multi-national research network that spans across the Asia Pacific region, and actively engages in a spectrum of clinical trials translation research and clinical trials that ultimately aim address unmet clinical needs of HCC.
Job Description:
This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys thinking and managing projects independently but also as a team player.
You will be part of an active research enterprise management team that closely works with other teams in clinical research coordination, wet laboratory research and bioinformatics. The Program encompasses a wide range of of biomedical research from upstream and translational studies to prospective multi-site clinical studies. There will be opportunities to develop a deep understanding of the biomedical ecosystem, and to work with key scientific opinion leaders, and pharmaceutical and biotech industry partners both locally and overseas. You will be involved in conceptualizing and executing large multi-site research studies and to develop a network of industry and academic contacts. There will also be ample opportunities for learning and publication.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Coordinating and engaging various internal and external stakeholders in the management of multi-institution and/or multi-national collaborations.
- Initiating and supporting research activities including (but not limited to) research grant applications, SOP development, and project budgeting.
- Providing of necessary resources that ensure compliance of regulatory/contractual documents and smooth project operations.
- Organizing and preparing materials for regular update meetings with collaborators.
- Providing a broad range of high-level administrative support in planning, organizing and managing research-related events (meetings, conferences, seminars), as well as drafting and costing of new proposals.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent; An honours degree or higher will be an advantage.
- Prior work experience in biomedical research, clinical trials and/or project management in healthcare, CRO or pharmaceutical organizations will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proactive individual who has effective interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organization and attention to details.
- Ability to multi-task, and possess good time management.
- High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
