About the Role
To support the Head and Deputy Head of Medical Affairs in managing medicolegal disputes and complaints, facilitating family conferences, serving as the primary point-of-contact for patients and families, and organizing educational activities on medical law, ethics, and dispute resolution.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate medicolegal disputes and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to legal and ethical standards
- Act as primary point-of-contact for patients and families, responding to queries through face-to-face meetings, emails and phone calls
- Facilitate family conferences with the aim of de-escalating disputes and addressing patient and family needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all medicolegal cases for internal data tracking and analysis
- Organize department meetings and record meeting minutes to ensure department goals and discussions are clear and addressed.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate management of medicolegal complaints
- Assist the department with crafting of educational materials and organization of education activities on dispute management, medical law and ethics for staff training.
Job Requirements
- Recognised Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Min. 6 years of working experience, preferably in healthcare or social service-related industry
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Emotionally resilient and empathetic with ability to handle high-stress interactions
- Independent worker with initiative to complete assigned tasks and projects
- Team player, self-driven with passion for learning and receptive to feedback
