Manager / Senior Manager (Division of Surgery & Surgical Oncology)
About the Role
The Senior Manager, DSSO will lead a team to manage the Division of Surgery and Surgical Oncology’s key work processes and projects to achieve the goals and objectives. You will play a vital role in leading the development of strategic plans, participation, support and coordination of operational and administrative matters of the Division and the Clinical Departments.
You are responsible to assist the supervisor in managing relationships with key stakeholders, collaborate with other functional groups within and beyond Division to develop strategic plans for key projects, new services and improvement to existing services and work processes.
Some of the Key Responsibilities Include
- Support the development and execution of the Division’s strategic plans, priorities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with SingHealth, institutional and national healthcare objectives.
- Monitor organisational performance against strategic goals and key deliverables, ensuring compliance with established policies, governance frameworks and operational procedures.
- Plan and support strategic planning and budgeting exercises, retreats, events, academic visits and preparation of management reports and etc.
- Support the Division and the clinical departments in the management of new and expanded surgical services in NCCS by working with stakeholders such as CSLD, Finance, Licensing and medical board office to ensure relevant level of medical capabilities and clinical privileging for the subspecialties and surgeons.
- Assist Division Chairman and department heads in the planning and delivery of work plans by preparing data, setting clear and achievable milestones, monitoring progress and coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the Division in ensuring the smooth planning and implementation of Division or Department projects that delivers the best patient care.
- Provide oversight to leadership governance within the Division, leading team in driving effective strategic discussions within the Division, ensuring effective stakeholder alignment, continuity of conversations, and timely follow-through of decisions and action items.
- Ensure effective communication and outreach within the Division and Department via relevant communication tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare industry
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels and globally.
- Possess good stakeholder management capability to interact and liaise with various job groups within and beyond the division, as well as external partners such as oversees visitors, government bodies and private institutions.
