The Division of Supportive and Palliative Care (DSPC) seeks an unflappable and compassionate individual to contribute to our growing work in health services research. Our health services research projects seek to improve clinical care for patients with cancer by developing, evaluating and implementing novel models of healthcare service delivery for palliative care. The research coordinator will perform a variety of activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or her designate:

1. Screen and recruit patients/ research participants.
2. Conduct semi-structured interviews or surveys with patients/ research participants at various settings (e.g. in-patient, out-patient, residential settings, virtual settings).
3. Extract clinical data from medical records.
4. Enter and manage study data.
5. Assist in literature reviews and survey development.
6. Assist with preparation of presentations and manuscripts.
7. Attend to the administrative and logistic needs of research projects, including IRB submissions and report writing.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in nursing or life sciences or social sciences or related field.
2. Able to connect with young and old alike.
3. Prior experience in conducting interviews/survey research would be advantageous.
4. Motivated and able to work independently.
