The Division of Supportive and Palliative Care is conducting research projects to improve health services for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses. The Research Fellow will participate in multiple aspects of research studies, including study design, data collection, data management, data analysis and results dissemination.

The Research Fellow will also provide research support service for clinical research, in accordance with the applicable regulatory and protocol requirements. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and members of the department to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day logistics support for research studies and assists in study quality control activities such as internal monitoring and prepare for auditing/ inspection. 

Subject knowledge and research methods:
- Knowledge in supportive and palliative care, and health services research methods to carry out excellent research.
- Able to formulate research questions.

Data analysis and interpretation:
- Analyse and interpret data in research studies.
- Educate, advise and guide others in data analysis and interpretation.

Information searching and evaluation:
- Conduct literature reviews, advanced searches using a range of information software, resources and techniques.

Research ethics:
- Ensure that ethical principles are adhered to within own research environment.

Requirements:
- PhD, preferably in a healthcare or biomedical field.
- Prior experience in nursing or allied health is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with participants and clinicians at all levels.
- Motivated, independent and hardworking individual with a keen interest to gain experience in health services research and build research skills in relevant areas such as mixed methods, implementation science and data analytics using routinely collected real-world data.
