The candidate will leverage on data and insights from multiple -omics platforms to conduct investigations addressing the molecular mechanisms underpinning hepato-carcinogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma especially the role of bile acid in the and the relationship to metabolic liver disease. The successful candidate will identify potential leads from patient profiling data, lead experimental validations, and contribute to mechanistic understanding of bile acid dysregulation on HCC development. The candidate will assist the Principal Investigator in the conceptualization and execution of research projects, coordinate bile acid-focused studies within multidisciplinary investigations, and lead grant applications and manuscript preparation. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and collaborative research environment, working closely with bioinformaticians, clinicians, and researchers involved in ongoing clinical trials. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cancer biology research, with the potential to directly impact population health in HCC.
