We would like to recruit a research staff to join our group that focusses on translational cancer research projects at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS). Our research group focusses on the early detection of cancer, in collaboration with clinicians and scientists. Our team aims to discover genetic changes or other biomarkers associated with cancer that could potentially be helpful for the early detection of cancer.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Design and perform wet bench work such as the processing of blood samples, next-generation sequencing, cell culture and molecular biology experiments, including data interpretation and record keeping.
- Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals and reports.
- Participate in journal club and conference presentations.
- Mentor students and junior lab members.
- Lab management, including lab safety, lab maintenance and procurement of lab supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements:
- BSc(Hons) or Diploma holder in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Genomics, Genetics, Molecular Biology or Cancer Biology.
- Must be extremely organised, meticulous and patient.
- Must be passionate about biomedical research, highly self-motivated, keen to learn and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.

Additional Requirements (Preferred):
- Experience in genomics, genetics, molecular biology, cell culture.
- Publications in genetics, genomics or molecular biology. Publications in cancer research will be an added advantage.
- Bench experience in library preparation for next-generation sequencing will be a strong advantage.
- Experience in handling of biological materials from patients will be an advantage.
