Resident Physician (Phase 1)
The incumbent will manage trial subjects in the facility with the assistance of Clinical Research Nurses and Clinical Research Coordinators.
The successful candidate will:
• Assist Principal Investigators in conducting regulated clinical trials
• Explain trial procedures stipulated in the informed consent document to potential trial subjects
• Obtain subjects’ consent
• Screen and select suitable subjects based on stipulated inclusion and exclusion criteria
• Perform physical examination on subjects
Throughout the Trial Period, the successful candidate will be required to
• Participate in monitoring and managing trial subjects for adverse events
• Maintain strict and detailed documentation of subjects’ medical data for accurate data collection
• Also contribute to quality initiatives, subject safety and education, infection control and prevention
The successful candidate will also assist, guide, and supervise House Officers and Medical Officers in the clerking and management of cases and supervise them in the performance of procedures as well as participate in the department’s teaching activities.
Requirements:
- Basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
- Postgraduate qualifications in internal medicine such as MRCP or equivalent, preferred
- Have at least 3 years of clinical experience at Medical Officer level
