You will be responsible for Grants Management and Contracting Matters, acting as the Scientific and Administrative Liaison, and providing Secretariat Support, in the Research Division in NCCS. Your responsibilities will include the following:

 

- Grant Management and Contracting Matters:
  -  Administer a portfolio of research grants, collaborative agreements, contracts, and training awards together with the NCCS Research Administration Office.
  -  Consolidate, develop, write and present scientific accomplishments and concepts from the various research programmes in NCCS as part of the large quantum grant applications (ie. NMRC Centre Grant), which includes collating stats and research outcomes and progress, and final reports submission.

 

- Scientific and Administrative Liaison:
  -  Provide programmatic expertise and leadership and serve as a scientific point of contact for research programmes in NCCS.
  -  Review scientific literature and assigned research grant and contract portfolio to ensure appropriate balance of the portfolio and to identify gap areas.
  -  Consult with and advises grantees during preparation of applications, proposals and provide guidance on grant call announcements and priorities.
  -  Respond to Institutional and Cluster reporting requests, synthesizing and presenting results of data analyses, drawing inferences, and making recommendations.
  -  Support the planning and re-structuring of NCCS Research enterprise.

 

- Secretariat Support:
  -  Organise and conduct workshops, conferences, symposia, or similar activities.
  -  Plan agenda and perform secretariat duties as required for the NCCS Research Director, and various committee meetings at institutional and cluster level ie. Principal Investigator Meetings, Research Strategy Meetings, NCCS Scientific Advisory Board Meetings (SAB), Research Committee Meetings.
  -  Manage NCCS SAB.

 

Requirements:
- MSc degree in areas related to biological sciences, clinical research and/or health services research.
- Experience in grants, project management and reviewing collaborative agreements.
- Knowledge of basic aspects of Intellectual Property (IP).
- Must possess a flair for writing and a good command of English to handle minutes and draft policy papers, presentation slides.
- Excellent oral and presentation skills for effective communication with PIs, clinicians & peers in other departments.
- Experience in organising events and hosting of delegates for meetings.
- Must be IT savvy and able to navigate through standard software applications and databases, set up virtual meetings on Zoom, Microsoft Teams platforms.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be meticulous and have good organisational skills to create and maintain detailed records.
- Independent worker with a strong sense of initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to cultivate partnerships and maintain relationships at all levels across an organisation to develop and facilitate programme priorities.
- Ability to work on multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
