About the Role

As a Senior / Assistant Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and performing specialised technical tasks involved in commissioning, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of biomedical equipment to maximise equipment availability for patient care. You will also provide admin and operational support to the operations of the department.

 

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Commissioning biomedical equipment and systems to verify safety and performance against manufacturer’s specification
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in equipment to ensure that equipment meets specifications and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment
  • Ensure work done by service contractors are carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with the terms and conditions of contract
  • Maintain accurate documentation of equipment maintenance and repair activities
  • Assist supervisor in overseeing projects. Coordinate meetings, prepare necessary documents.
  • Assist supervisor in facilitating essential inter-institution and inter-department collaborations and promote teamwork so that work is done effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist Supervisor in preparing investigation report to management team and implement corrective action to resolve safety and risk management

 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or its equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience, preferably in the Healthcare industry
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong team player and collaborator with good interpersonal skills
  • Independent and takes initiative to complete tasks assigned
  • Able to work with all levels of staff and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as directed by supervisor
