You will play a pivotal role in strengthening the individual department in DMO via the planning and implementation of various standards applicable to clinical service and research. With an analytical mind and a clear understanding of long and short-term objectives, you are expected to support current and new service and research related projects and initiatives. You will assist department HOD and PIs in Financial budgeting for the department, as well as for individual projects.  The incumbent will also be required to act as a mentor to junior staff, providing guidance and developing them.

Project Management:
- Assist in planning and implementing programmes and events for the department.
- Set and communicate the project timeline and schedule.
- Manage the operational and administrative functions to ensure the projects can proceed smoothly.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with the different stakeholders on the project.
- Prepare reports and utilise analytics to evaluate the project’s effectiveness and ascertain room for improvements.
- Monitor the expense account for the projects and ensure that they fall within the allocated budget for the projects.

Financial Budgeting:
- Support the financial processes within the department and ensure adherence to corporate financial guidelines.
- Collate and analyse reports to assist supervisor in financial budgeting for department and also for individual projects.
- Assist manager to ensure that sufficient resources are being allocated for the different projects.
- Assist in monitoring the finances of the department.

New Initiatives and Programmes:
- Provide support in the implementation of new initiatives and projects in the department.
- Participate in the development of innovative techniques to enhance work processes.
- Manage stakeholders’ resistance to change when new workflows are introduced.

Administrative Duties and Operational Support:
- Perform administrative duties such as maintenance of data in the system and document filing.
- Update of department clinician’s CVs.
- Assist in ensuring smooth integration of work processes amongst the different teams in the department.
- Deliver quality customer service to HOD and department clinician.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
- Degree in relevant discipline (preferably with life science background).
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Healthcare setting (advantageous).
- Good teamwork orientation, communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to interact confidently and liaise with other departments and agencies including government bodies and private institutions as well as stakeholders.
- Possess good project management and administrative skills.
- Able to work independently with initiative and creativity.
- Proficient in MS Office.
