About the Role

You will be an integral part of the Oncology Academic Clinical Programme (ACP) administrative unit, which operates under the umbrella of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) and is hosted within NCCS. The ACP unites faculty and administrative professionals, all working towards advancing the AMC's strategic objectives in academic medicine.

In this pivotal administrative role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, such as faculty affairs and professional development, grants and research initiatives, general business functions and events management, as well as process improvement and new initiatives that enable academic career progression and recognition for our medical professionals.

 

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include

  • Facilitate end-to-end process for academic Appointments, Promotions and Tenure (APT) submissions to Duke-NUS in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage nomination calls for Duke-NUS academic promotions and prepare dossiers including referees' letters and bibliometrics for submission
  • Monitor faculty academic career progression and maintain records for over 200 primary and secondary faculty members across three medical schools (Duke-NUS, NUS-YLL and NTU-LKC)
  • Organise department retreats and coordinate events including logistics, publicity materials, and event day support
  • Facilitate requests for Duke-NUS visitor accounts and manage procurement for department operations
  • Undertake process improvement initiatives and represent the department in various committees
  • Provide administrative support for ad-hoc requests and maintain department assets and consumable items
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; 2 to 4 years of working experience in healthcare or education setting would be advantageous
  • Prior working experience with academic faculty would be advantageous
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to analyse and convey complex information
  • Good interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Meticulous, well-organised and able to multi-task efficiently
  • Resourceful and proactive team player, with positive attitude and a keenness to learn and grow
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
