About the Role
The NCCS CDDO will develop and execute a roadmap to bring the full power of data engineering, data analytics, digital solutions and AI into fruition for NCCS. This will help drive the digital transformation of NCCS and ensure the institution remains at the forefront of innovation, ultimately, achieving enhanced patient care and clinician effectiveness through the right implementation of technology.
The Digital Solutions (DS) team within CDDO will be a focal point in coordinating, scaling and adopting new technologies in automation, digitalisation and AI across our clinical and operational teams. The DS Senior Manager will be front and centre driving execution and implementation, translating the potential of technology into real value for clinicians, patients and the institution. You will engage with stakeholders, understanding their requirements and then move from whiteboard to a working solution to scaled adoption using existing institutional and cluster technology and data platforms.
Broadly, your responsibilities include:
- Process transformation and digitalisation
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification and digitalisation of work processes
- Evaluate and prioritize projects based on feasibility and impact whilst adhering to the relevant regulatory frameworks
- Champion the use of appropriate advanced technologies
- Guide project implementation to fruition, resolving challenges and escalating when appropriate
- Stakeholder engagement
- Engage with internal stakeholders across clinical, operational and other teams to align in digital adoption and drive meaningful outcomes in a constantly evolving technology landscape
- Leverage external partnerships and vendor capabilities to jumpstart adoption efforts
- Talent and capability development
- Build and lead a high performing CDDO DS team with expertise in business transformation, digitalisation and AI.
- Support upskilling initiatives to develop CDDO capabilities in emerging technologies
- Enable first enthusiasts and citizen developers within NCCS but also the deepening of a digital-first mindset across the entire employee cohort
You will have:
- Strong understanding of technology and applications for enterprise-wide deployment in the healthcare space
- Strong grasp of healthcare operations, business drivers and ROI considerations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AI / ML services, architectures and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
- Updated and informed approach on emerging trends and technologies and how these can be applied to transform end to end workflow or processes
- Excellent stakeholder management, communications and leadership skills
- Track record of building high performing, engaged teams
- Strategic mindset with operational discipline – able to balance long term transformational goals with day to day delivery
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in full stack development, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment.
- Proficient in frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and backend languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, C++/#, Rust)
- Familiarity with GenAI model deployment and inference frameworks
- Familiarity with distributed/cloud data architectures
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare integration standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, OMOP CDM) is an advantage.
- Broad fluency in digital health and hospital technology, with the ability to engage across domains. Strong grasp of healthcare operations, business drivers and ROI considerations.
