About the Role
The Senior Manager, DSSO will lead a team to monitor and manage the Division of Surgery and Surgical Oncology’s key work processes and projects to achieve the goals and objectives. You will play a vital role in developing plans, participating, supporting and coordinating operational and administrative support to the Division and the Clinical Departments.
You will provide and co-ordinate operational and administrative support to the clinical departments under the Division of Surgery and Surgical Oncology, with primary assignment to Department of Head and Neck Surgery and Department of Sarcoma, Peritoneal and Rare Tumours (SPRinT). He/ she is responsible to assist the supervisor in managing relationships with key stakeholders, collaborate with other functional group within and beyond Division to plan for new projects, new services and improvement to existing services.
Some of the Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide and coordinate operational and administrative support to the clinical departments under the Division of Surgery and Surgical Oncology, with primary assignment to Department of Head and Neck Surgery and Department of Sarcoma, Peritoneal and Rare Tumours (SPRinT).
- Assist in developing strategic plans and goals for the Division and ensuring that goals and objectives are being met and that policies and procedures are being followed.
- Plan and support corporate/strategic planning/budgeting exercises, retreats, preparation of management reports and etc.
- Support the Division and the clinical departments in the set-up of new and expanded surgical services in NCCS by working with stakeholders such as CSLD, Finance, Licensing and medical board office to ensure relevant level of medical capabilities and clinical privileging for the subspecialties and surgeons.
- Assist Division Chairman and department heads in the planning and delivery of work plans by preparing data, setting clear and achievable milestones, monitoring progress and coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
- Assist the Division in ensuring the smooth planning and implementation of Division or Department projects that delivers the best patient care.
- Perform operational support of the general office activities of the Division
- Communicate Division’s progress and achievement to get the whole Division on board with the vision of the Academic Medical Centre.
- Provide relevant and updated information regularly regarding Division and Department via the Intranet, Internet and related communication collaterals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare industry
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels and globally.
- Possess good people skills to interact and liaise with other departments and agencies including government bodies and private institutions.

- Able to work independently with good initiative and creativity
- Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
