Senior Psychologist/ Psychologist
The Department of Psychosocial Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) provides psychosocial care to cancer patients and survivors and their families. The Department invites applications for a full-time Senior Clinical Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist position. The psychologist will be expected to interact with other healthcare professionals, work within multi-disciplinary teams and have opportunity to work with other cancer related agencies in providing psychosocial care. The psychologist will have opportunities to train in evidence-based approaches and treatment methods in psychosocial oncology, participate in research activities, take part in professional seminars/workshops, as well as represent the Department in professional/ethic committees.
Some of the Job Responsibilities include:
- Providing counselling and psychotherapy services
- Conducting psychosocial assessments
- Collaborating with other stakeholders to provide holistic care for patients
- Facilitating psycho-education initiatives (i.e., talks, education materials relevant to psychological coping with cancer)
- Contributing to development, implementation, presentation/publication of clinical/research projects
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Masters/Doctoral level qualifications in Psychology (Clinical) from an accredited institution
- Registered or eligible for Registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) under the auspices of Singapore Psychological Society (SPS)
- Demonstrated competency for Clinical Psychologist position and at least 4 years for Senior Clinical Psychologist position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Meticulous, organised with good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player and able to work independently
