Senior Assistant Director/ Assistant Director, Corporate Development
Responsibilities:
You will be a key member of the Corporate Development team and will work closely with the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to advance NHCS’s communications, brand and reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships.
In this role, you will lead integrated communications strategies to strengthen NHCS’s positioning as a leading cardiovascular centre locally and regionally. This includes proactive media engagement, digital and social media communications, and reputation management.
You will partner senior leadership and support the CCO in providing strategic communications counsel. You will translate organisational priorities and complex issues into clear, consistent, and effective narratives for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will oversee internal communications efforts to strengthen staff engagement and alignment across NHCS. You will also coordinate and manage strategic collaborations, including hosting delegations, managing corporate and philanthropic partnerships, where relevant.
As part of the role, you will provide leadership and mentorship to team members, encourage new ideas, and drive continuous improvement in communications and partnerships work.
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within healthcare organisations.
- At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role, with proven experience managing communications teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills, with hands-on experience in media relations, leadership communications, and issues management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
