Assistant Manager, Support Services
Job Description
You are responsible for administering the Occupational Health & Safety policy, standards and strategic goals for NHCS. This involves the following but not limited to:
i) Coordinating the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system with compliance to legal requirements and conducting risk assessments to provide a safe and healthy workplace.
ii) Conduct or coordinate training, safety awareness promotions or other safety-related activities.
iii) Perform safety inspections, investigate WSH incidents, recommend best practices and improvements initiatives to WSH committee to improve safe work practices.
iv) Review all risk assessments submitted by contractors and outsourced vendors for any works to be carried out in NHCS.
v) Identify WSH targets, review and track performance indicators to ensure effectiveness of WSH management system.
You will oversee NHCS’ Crisis Planning & Operations, which involves the development of plans and exercises for medical and operational responses for disease outbreaks, civil and national emergencies. This also include managing the centre’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme, policy and guidelines, which involves conducting scenario-based BCM exercises and corporate call tree exercises.
Job Requirements
- A recognised Degree and a WSQ Specialist Diploma in WSH with at least 2 years’ post-WSH qualification working experience as a WSH officer or similar occupational role
- A WSQ Graduate Diploma in WSH / ISO 45001:2018 certification would be an advantage
- A registered WSH officer with Ministry of Manpower
- Relevant work experience in Crisis Planning and Operations and Business Continuity Management would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong team-oriented player with good interpersonal communication skills
- Critical thinker with good organisational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and the ability to work under pressure
