Locum Doctor
You will be part of the multidisciplinary team providing all aspects of pre-operative patient care, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, National Heart Centre Singapore. You will perform records clerking, taking of history, conduct physical examination, review and order investigations, refer patients to relevant specialists, and if required, assess anaesthetic risks. You will need to provide essential instructions on surgery preparations to patients, liaise with anaesthetists and consultant in-charge on specific concerns to ensure patients’ readiness and optimal condition for the surgery. You will also need to document patients’ notes in the clinical system and provide seamless handovers to the medical team for any necessary follow-ups.
Requirements:
- Basic Medical Degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
- Full registration with SMC
- Preferably with prior experience in an acute hospital setting
- Documented proof of:
- (i) Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
- (ii) Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
