Research Officer (Ref:NHCS/RO/ZLLB)
Cardiovascular disease is the world’s no.1 killer. The Cardiovascular Systems Imaging and Artificial Intelligence (CVS.AI) lab conducts in-depth assessments of cardiovascular disease amongst at-risk populations in Singapore and internationally to uncover new knowledge of complex patterns of cardiovascular disease. We are seeking a highly motivated research team member with an interest in managing global and local projects for cardiovascular medicine and cardiac data. This will involve organising and coordinating large-scale studies and data management. There will be lots of opportunity for collaboration with world-renowned researchers on a national and international level.
You will be part of the CVS.AI team reporting to the Principal Investigator. You will assist the Core Scientific Lead/Principal Investigator to manage and coordinate projects including regulatory submission, grant submission preparation, research collaborations, and are expected to follow up closely on the research projects assigned under your care. You will also help maintain the regulatory files of research projects, including but not limited to grant submission, ethics submission, and ensure the laboratory activities comply with the relevant workplace safety requirements. You are expected to work effectively and collaboratively with team members, statisticians, clinicians, software engineers and machine learners. The selected candidate will be offered employment on 2-year renewable contractual terms.
Requirements:
- BSc in Life Sciences or its equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical, epidemiological, or health services research
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing and coordinating local and/or international large-scale studies
- Related experience in general laboratory is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as a team setting
- Good organisational skills
