Associate Consultant
Brief Description
Associate Consultants are specialist doctors and are expected to undertake various responsibilities based on their level of seniority.
The Neuroscience Academic Clinical Program (ACP) in NNI plays an important role in SingHealth’s Academic Medicine journey. In addition to clinical duties, staff will be groomed to take up one or more roles and responsibilities in education, research and administrative leadership.
He/ She will carry out duties as directed by the Head of Department in accordance with the policies and guidelines set by the Institution, SingHealth and Ministry of Health.
He / She will be expected to provide holistic and seamless medical care and management of patients. Besides being responsible to patient care, he / she is expected to provide guidance to all levels of staff, including teaching, training and research.
Job Scope

Provide timely and appropriate clinical care which is expected based on current level of seniority and experience

Supervise the junior doctors and ensure that learning opportunities are available

Attend and participate in conferences, seminars, department meetings, teaching sessions, audit sessions and learning rounds

Participate in quality improvement activities and/or research projects

Other jobs as assigned by HOD
Requirement

- Possess a medical degree and postgraduate qualification or equivalent, recognized by the Singapore Medical Council
- Successful completion of specialist training in the appropriate specialty
- Registered with the Singapore Medical Council
- Accredited as Specialist by the Singapore Medical Council and Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health
