Job Description
The National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) is the national and regional specialist centre for conditions of the brain, spine, nerves and muscles. NNI offers treatment for over 20 sub-specialties, including stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, brain tumour and brain injury. NNI is driven by the passion to improve patients’ lives, and pursues neurological disease research to understand, prevent, diagnose and ultimately treat these diseases.

The mission of NNI's research is to improve the quality of life of patients with neurological conditions through empowering knowledge and research innovation. Our research focuses on achieving better understanding of basic physiological and disease mechanisms, discovering and exploring new medical and surgical therapies, and improving health care provision and delivery, through our core programmes, such as, stroke, Parkinson and movement disorders, dementia, and neuro-oncology.
We are looking for a mid-career or senior clinician to helm one of our Clinician-Scientist positions.

Job Scope

  • Lead clinical translational research in one of our signature programmes, with a focus on clinical and experimental diagnostics and therapeutics;
  • Facilitate efforts to integrate clinical services and translational research;
  • Establish new research opportunities and collaborations both internationally and nationally;
  • Secure competitive research funds Involved in Neuroscience teaching and training of research staff.

    Job Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent basic medical degree, MD/PhD or PhD;
  • Demonstrated track record and excellence in clinical and translational neuroscience;
  • Has international standing or reputation in a sub-specialty in Neuroscience preferably in Neurodegenerative disorders, Cerebrovascular disorders and in Neuroimaging;
  • Able to perform independently in Department;
  • Highly adaptive and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Must be able to do calls.
