Research Fellow (Genetics)

A Research Fellow position in Genetics is available in the Neuroscience Laboratory at the National Neuroscience Institute. We are looking for highly motivated candidates (Postdoc or Master) with a strong expertise in genetic epidemiology, bioinformatics and data analytics.

The successful applicant would be involved in research aimed at dissecting genetic risk factors and their pathways in neurodegenerative diseases using contemporary methodologies and platforms. 

Prior expertise and ability to integrate computer science knowledge with biological sciences to analyse large genomic and proteomic datasets is preferred

The person is expected to work diligently and demonstrate a high level of responsibility. In addition, effective and timely communication with the supervisor and other team workers is essential. Prior Experience in genetic epidemiology will be an added advantage.

Requirements:

•Recognised PhD or Msc in life science/genetics

•Good writing, presentation and communication skills

•A team player but is able to work independently
