Research Fellow II
A Research Fellow position is available within the Dementia and Neurocognitive Disorders Program at the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore.
We are seeking driven, highly motivated individuals with interest and research experience with clinical (human) samples and biomarker development and validation; or experience with blood- and tissue-based biomarker assessment and molecular biology techniques. Applicants with experience with various protein biomarker assays such as ELISA, flow cytometry, Luminex, MSD, SIMOA, mass spectrometry would be desirable to this position.
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse group including neuroscientists, neurologists, neuroradiologists, psychologists, physicists, biostatisticians, computer scientists, technologists and research coordinators, and will design, execute and analyze experiments related to the discovery of novel biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases.
Requirements
- Recognised PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical sciences, or related fields
- Candidates with a master’s qualification in a relevant field and with relevant experience will be considered
- Hands-on experience with biomarker analysis using ELISA, Luminex, MSD, SIMOA or mass spectrometry.
- Additional experience with bioinformatics for analyzing high-throughput assay data will be an advantage
- Candidates with publications as first author will have an advantage
- Capable of competing for grant funding
- Able to supervise, coordinate and provide direction to members of a research project team
- Strong communication skills for presenting research findings and writing publications
- Good team player and is able to work independently
