We have a research position available in NNI @ SGH campus for highly motivated individual who have a strong desire and passion for analysing data in the Research landscape. 

 

The candidate will be recruited to perform these following tasks:

  • Perform protein- and cell-based assays, including recombinant protein purification, native protein purification, and immunoprecipitation.
  • Culture and manipulate human stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived models.
  • Conduct in vivo studies in mice, including behavioural assays and tissue processing.
  • Investigate and validate biomarkers using techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, digital PCR, and seed amplification assay.
  • Proactively identify research opportunities, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and contribute innovative ideas to advance project objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records, analyse data rigorously, and communicate findings clearly during team meetings and scientific discussions.

 

Requirements

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or a related biomedical field.
  • Solid hands-on experience with molecular biology, stem cell culture, and mouse handling.
  • Proven ability to independently design and execute research projects, with a strong interest in translational science.
  • Demonstrated passion for scientific research and discovery, with a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse scientific disciplines.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with a willingness to take initiative and drive research projects forward
