Research Fellow

A Research Fellow position in ASEAN Microbiome Nutrition Centre is available at the National Neuroscience Institute. We are looking for highly motivated candidates (Postdoc) who have a strong expertise in animal (mice and rats) behavioral studies and are very comfortable in handling animals (oral gavage, injection). Prior experience in microbiome related work and/or molecular biology techniques and biochemical assays is highly desirable.

The successful applicant would be involved in research aimed at studying the effects of microbial metabolites on behavior. The person is expected to work diligently and demonstrate a high level of responsibility. In addition, effective and timely communication with the supervisor and other team workers is essential.

Job requirements

• Recognised PhD in Neuroscience or relevant life sciences field.
• Relevant work experience is a must. Fresh doctorate holders can also apply if they have relevant experience.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills
• A team player and a strong desire to learn and take on intellectual challenges
