We have a research position available in NNI @ SGH campus for highly motivated individual who have a strong desire and passion for analysing data in the Research landscape. 

 

The candidate will be recruited to perform these following tasks:

  • Perform analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including quality control, alignment, variant calling, and downstream analyses.
  • Analyze and integrate multi-omics datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics) to address biological research questions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data analysis pipelines using Linux-based systems, R, and Python
  • Interpret analytical results in a biological context, with a focus on molecular and cellular mechanisms
  • Collaborate closely with wet-lab scientists to support experimental design and data interpretation
  • Document analysis workflows, results, and methods to ensure reproducibility
  • Any other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

  • A PhD in Life Sciences, preferably with a major in Genetics, Biology or a related field
  • Proficiency in Linux-based environments and experience with R and/or Python for data analysis, with familiarity in using cloud servers for computational workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of molecular and cellular biology
  • Prior experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, is preferred
  • Experience with molecular biology, cell biology is an added advantage
  • Highly motivated individual, willing to assist and collaborate effectively within a team.
