Senior / Research Officer (Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning)

We are looking for a Senior / Research Officer with experience in Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning, interests in the exciting field of clinical and translational neuroscience, as well as self-motivation to aim for fundamental breakthroughs in the advancement of the science and engineering of intelligence.

Candidates trained in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with strong programming skills and experience with Pytorch or Tensorflow will join the Neuro-Tech Innovation Hub, an emerging neuroscience research group, focused upon developing a common platform for Computer Vision and Machine Learning applications at the clinical/research interface.

He/ She will be expected to perform duties in, but not limited to, the following:

• Developing tools for Computer Vision and Machine Learning applications in clinical neuroscience
• Performing data analysis, image processing/ modelling on local/ international neuroimaging data
• Compiling data, summarizing and interpreting results of the analyses in reports and journal articles
• Conducting research within National Neuroscience Institute in line with its research strategy and under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigators
• Actively participating in research projects in a team-based, cross-functional research environment

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or related disciplines)
• Strong programming and image processing skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
• Experience with the following methodologies would be a plus -
  • Amazon (AWS) or Microsoft Azure Machine Learning
  • Software development for applications in Computer vision
  • Medical image analysis and processing
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team-based, cross-functional research team.
