Assistant Director, Hospital Planning & Commissioning

The incumbent will support the Senior Assistant Director (Operations) in leading, coordinating and executing all planning, development and operationalisation activities required for the successful opening of the new Community Hospital, scheduled to open in 2029. This role is responsible for ensuring that service models, operational workflows, staffing requirements, infrastructure readiness and commissioning activities are developed and implemented in alignment with organisational strategies and regulatory requirements. This position emphasises the strategic integration of new digital technologies and smart systems to support healthcare delivery transformation while developing sustainable operations and creating a productive, high-performing workplace for staff. 

The incumbent will be expected to lead and guide small project teams supporting planning and commissioning workstreams, with responsibility for coordinating cross-functional workgroups comprising clinical, support and corporate stakeholders. He/ She will manage assigned officers supporting planning documentation and tracking, while focusing on capability development within the team. 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; preferably Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health or related fields
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• Minimum 8–10 years of operations or project management experience, preferably in healthcare
• At least 2 years in management of hospital operations
• Prior experience in hospital planning, commissioning or service development will be advantageous
• Good knowledge in both front-end and back-end support services
