Job Description

 

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Executive will assist the Finance Department of SingHealth Community Hospitals (SCH) in matters relating to the following areas:

 

OCH Entity Financials

You will perform month-end and year-end closing activities for OCH. You will develop and maintain effective accounting and internal procedures to ensure financial information is accurate. You will track budget utilizations and perform variance analysis on expenses and budgets for OCH, to check for reasonableness and identify areas for improvement. You will communicate to OCH users regarding Budget matters and provide recommendations when there is a shortfall in budget. You will assist and liaise with stakeholders for matters relating to Service Level Agreements.

 

SCH Group Budget

 

You will conduct and coordinate the annual budget and forecast exercise for SCH Group. You will review the budget returns and perform variance analysis on expenses and budgets across entities to check for reasonableness and identify areas for improvement, recommending adjustments if necessary to ensure sustainability. You will consolidate and prepare the SCH group budget slides for presentation and reporting according to the timeline given.

 

Capital and IT Grants

 

You will maintain and ensure proper governance on the use of funds by stakeholders. You will maintain accurate and up to date record of grant utilization. You will ensure timely claims & reporting submissions and provide quarterly cashflow projection. You will submit monthly & quarterly utilisation reports to Management/HQ and attend to stakeholders’ queries.

 

Aside from the above, you may also support other projects and any other ad-hoc duties under the Finance Department, as and when assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent
  • CA or ACCA (optional)
  • Preferably 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • IT savvy, advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office functions (e.g. VBA in Excel) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with consolidation software (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management) and data visualization software (e.g. Tableau) will be an added advantage
