Health Informatics Officer (Contract)

You will support the Chief Medical Informatics Officer in the development and implementation of clinical information systems and processes to facilitate the optimal delivery of patient care. You will also be involved in projects related to the clinical information systems and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that meet user requirements for clinical orders, medication administration and documentation.

You will help to ensure that the policies and procedures related to our electronic medical records (EMR) system are updated and aligned with both cluster and national policy and guidelines. You will provide support for workgroups and committees at an institution or cluster-level as necessary.

In addition, you will assist to develop and maintain training materials and provide training for users in clinical IT systems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Entry level degree holders are welcome to apply
• Experience in clinical information systems, IT project management and experience in healthcare environment will be an advantage
• Possess good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently
