Senior Assistant Manager, Business Liaison Office

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Business Office (BO) in SingHealth Community Hospitals as a Senior Assistant Manager. In this role, you will support the department manager in ensuring smooth patient admissions, high service standards, and effective operational processes. The job responsibilities are:

Operational Planning

  • Assist the Department Manager in formulating teamwork plans, establishing and implementing BO policies and procedures, work instructions, and mapping processes to support operational excellence.
  • Institute internal control measures to meet performance standards.

Patient Admission & Transfer

  • Assist the Team Lead to supervise the team in managing patient transfers and admissions into the hospital.
  • Assist the Team Lead to oversee staff deployment to ensure adequate manpower and coverage that aligns with workload demands, including participating in the admission and transfer of patients to ensure a timely, smooth, and efficient process.


Financial Counselling & Assistance

  • Ensure the team conducts financial counselling and admission briefings for patients and their families.
  • Identify genuine financial hardship cases and facilitate financial assistance in accordance with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure patient and family interactions are attended to promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Provide guidance on enquiries relating to admissions, billing matters, and collection of payments.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Analyse patient admission and discharge data and address declines in Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR).
  • Provide regular management reports with analysis on BOR trends.

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
  • At least 4 years of working experience, with supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Genuine interest in customer service and a passion for serving patients and guests
  • A collaborative team player
  • Proficient in Microsft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • This position requires working half a Saturday on a rotational basis
