The Opportunity
SingHealth Community Hospitals (SCH) currently operates across two hospital sites, with a third hospital in the east opening in 2029.
As Senior Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting, you will take on broad and meaningful responsibilities spanning financial reporting, budgeting, cost management, and audit coordination. You will gain exposure across a complex, multi-site healthcare environment, work alongside experienced finance leaders, and be part of a team that values both rigour and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial statements, reports, schedules, and reconciliations
- Develop comprehensive management reports with variance analysis and trend analysis to support management decision-making
- Conduct cost analysis and cost-benefit assessments across operations and initiatives
- Support annual budget cycle, including consolidation of submissions and management presentations
- Support external and internal audit processes
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and SOPs
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects
Requirements:
- A degree in Accountancy, or professional qualification (ACCA)
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in financial closing, management reporting, or a similar finance role
- Membership in a recognised professional accounting body such as ISCA or ACCA is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Solid working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
- Knowledge of SAP and prior exposure to the healthcare sector are advantageous
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to present financial findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- A self-starter who manages priorities well, works collaboratively across functions, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
