Senior Manager, Finance

This is a unique dual-capacity role where you'll oversee financial operations for Outram Community Hospital (OCH) and the SCH Health Fund, whilst managing grant applications from both perspectives - providing financial guidance for SCH grant submissions, and evaluating applications on behalf of the SCH Health Fund Committee. What You'll Do
Financial Leadership & Analysis
- Drive month-end and year-end financial closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across OCH and SCH Health Fund operations
- Prepare insightful financial analyses and variance reports that inform management decisions
- Lead the annual budget cycle, working closely with business units to develop sustainable financial plans
Grant Management
- Develop compelling grant budgets and applications to secure funding for SCH programmes
- Review and evaluate grant applications for the SCH Health Fund Committee, ensuring alignment with funding guidelines
- Provide secretariat support for Committee meetings, including minute-taking and materials preparation
- Monitor grant claims and financial reporting to ensure compliance and sustainability
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate external and internal audits, serving as the key liaison with auditors
- Maintain robust internal controls and design improvements where gaps are identified
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification
- At least 8 years of progressive finance experience with strong financial planning and analysis capabilities
- Minimum 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Proven track record in management reporting and in-depth variance analysis
- Experience coordinating audits and working with external/internal auditors
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial risk management
Highly Valued:
- Experience in grant management or funding applications
- Familiarity with SAP financial modules and BPC (or similar budgeting systems)
- Membership in professional bodies (ISCA, ACCA)
