Job Description
The Department of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology in SGH is looking for a qualified candidate to join as a Clinical Epidemiologist. The Epidemiology team conducts emerging and re-emerging infectious disease surveillance and communicable disease outbreak management. The incumbent is responsible for the daily emerging and re-emerging infectious disease surveillance, conducts contact tracing to mitigate and/or control infectious diseases including vaccine-preventable infectious diseases and multidrug resistant organisms (MDROs), disease outbreak investigations and provide recommendations on diseases’ containment. He/She will also provide epidemiological and statistical expertise for the planning, design, analysis, and reporting of statistical information, conducts epidemiological study for identifying incidence, prevalence, causes or risk factors of human morbidity or mortality, as well as providing support for statistical analysis on audit and research programs.

Job Requirements
Candidates must have relevant post-graduate qualification such as Master or PhD in Public Health or Epidemiology and be a specialist doctor registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) He/She should be proficient in the use of statistical software packages such as SAS, STATA, or SPSS, and Microsoft Office applications.
