As Deputy Director, HR, you will sit at the centre of a bold People First agenda. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer, you will partner senior leaders to translate strategy into meaningful people outcomes — from advancing forward-looking compensation strategies, to strengthening talent pipelines and succession, and embedding a culture of high performance through robust performance management practice; ensuring SGH continues to attract, develop, reward, and retain the talent that underpins its leadership in healthcare.

What You Will Do
You will lead a high-impact portfolio shaping the full employee experience:
Reward and Recognition — You will define how SGH values its people. From building a compelling Pay Philosophy to leading annual compensation cycles and overseeing strategic remuneration, to ensure competitiveness, equity and financially sustainability.
Talent and Succession — You will build the pipelines that future-proof SGH. Build strong leadership pipelines. Drive institutional talent management and succession planning to ensure readiness for the future.
Performance and Growth — You will champion a culture of accountability and excellence. Governing SGH's appraisal and promotion frameworks, you will ensure consistency, integrity, and meaningful recognition.
Engagement and Wellbeing — You will Shape the employee experience through data-driven engagement and wellbeing strategies that foster a supportive and energising workplace.
HR Operations and Governance — You will Elevate HR service delivery with strong governance, digital enablement, ensuring PDPA compliance, and and sound handling of employee relations and compliance.
People Leadership — You will develop and inspire your team while building a strong internal HR talent pipeline the next generation of HR leaders.

What You Bring
You are a seasoned HR professional with at least 20 years of experience, including 10 years in a managerial capacity and at least 5 years leading portfolios in compensation and rewards, performance management, talent management or HR operations.
You think strategically but execute with precision; analytically sharp, data-literate, and comfortable synthesising complex information into clear, actionable insights. You lead with integrity, handle sensitive matters with the utmost discretion, and bring out the best in the people around you.
