Job Description
You will be crucial member in the multidisciplinary healthcare team that includes physicians, haematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) coordinators and nurses, providing pharmaceutical care to ensure optimal and cost-effective use of chemotherapeutic drugs, immunotherapeutics, and supportive care medicines for the treatment of patients with haematological or oncological malignancies; prevent and manage complications related to treatment, empower patients with drug related knowledge to improve compliance through patient education, and optimise long term clinical outcomes. With the ever expanding repertoire of chemotherapeutic agents and biologics, you will be in the forefront of the latest treatment modalities and provide guidance on their clinical use and management. Our Haematology pharmacists identify, resolve and prevent drug-related problems, recommend and monitor patient drug therapies through active participation in regular Haematology or HSCT clinical rounds and the provision of timely and accurate drug information. You will educate the general public, patients, students and fellow healthcare professionals on safe and effective medication use through various communication channels. In addition, you will have opportunities to advance the knowledge-base in Haematology and/or HSCT by conducting relevant clinical and translational research. At SGH, we have a well-respected team of Haematology pharmacists who provide care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. As we expand our current scope of clinical services, including collaborative prescribing, we are looking for motivated and dynamic Haematology pharmacists to join our dedicated team.
Job Requirements Registered with the Singapore Pharmacy Council
At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in Haematology/Oncology/HSCT.
