You will perform PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures on patients to produce quality images for diagnostic interpretation. You will dispense radioisotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. There are opportunities for participation in the research programmes of the Department and also in collaboration with other departments. The role involves:

 

  • Patient preparation
    • Prepare patients for Nuclear Medicine procedures by simple and effective instructions.
  • Nuclear Medicine Imaging
    • Perform Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures as per protocol and process the data obtained.
  • Nuclear Medicine Dosimetry on patients before undergoing Y90 Microspheres treatment under angiography guidance
    • Perform Nuclear Medicine Dosimetry on patients who have undergone Tc99m MAA procedure under angiography guidance. This procedure involves reviewing SPECT/CT images with ROI drawing, calculation of Liver-Lung Shunting dosage leakage and calculation of the Y90 dosage to be use in the treatment of the patient
  • Dispense radiopharmaceuticals (RPCs)
    • Dispensing 131Iodine and other radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Quality Control (QC)
    • Perform the daily quality control procedures of the gamma cameras and other imaging equipment
  • Research
    • Participate in the research programmes of the department and also in collaboration with other departments

 

Requirement

  • Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology / Radiography or equivalent with some working experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred;
  • Candidates need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
