Assistant Director, International Collaboration Office

You will be part of a team that builds meaningful partnerships with healthcare institutions around the world, contributing to SingHealth's mission of advancing healthcare excellence beyond Singapore's borders. We are seeking an Assistant Director to support the ICO Director in developing and executing international programmes across assigned territories. Leading a small team, you will drive strategic partnerships, manage a portfolio of funded projects, and ensure that SingHealth's international collaborations deliver lasting impact for all parties involved.
What You Will Do:
You will develop and manage international healthcare programmes from proposal through to implementation, working closely with project directors and clinical leaders to ensure objectives are met and outcomes are monitored. Managing relationships with key stakeholders across assigned territories will be central to your role, and you will coordinate initiatives with partners such as Duke-NUS and regional institutions to facilitate knowledge exchange and establish strategic alliances at a senior level.
You will oversee a portfolio of third-party funded projects, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met while coordinating resources effectively across programmes. This includes developing and refining project monitoring systems in collaboration with the team. You will develop tertiary care collaboration frameworks, coordinate complex case referral processes, manage relationships with clinical partners and monitor collaboration outcomes. You will also manage programme budgets, develop funding proposals, and build relationships with funding partners to ensure the financial sustainability of the programmes. You will also implement marketing strategies for assigned territories, manage outreach activities and monitoring market response.You will also implement succession plans and foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of operational procedures and departmental policies, recommending improvements where appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 4 years’ experience in the healthcare sector or in an international collaboration capacity
- Proven experience in programme or project management, including budget and stakeholder management
- Experience working across cultures
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and sound execution skills
- Possess written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Proficiency in other Asian languages will be advantageous
- Overseas travelling is required
