Assistant Manager, Office of Research (Research Operations)

You will be responsible for the daily operations of SingHealth’s research facilities and manage all the shared equipment, facilities and services that are provided by the Office of Research. You will oversee the necessary logistics and arrangements for new investigators and departments moving into SingHealth Research Facilities and ensure the proper return of laboratory or office space when they vacate the premises.

You will work with Office of Biosafety to maintain safety in SingHealth Research Facilities and ensure that the necessary licences and permits are in place. You will need to ensure inspection and maintenance of all emergency response provisions and that safety matters are adequately addressed after inspection. You will also need to manage biomedical equipment including reporting on maintenance and commissioning and ensuring cybersecurity compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science or related discipline with 6 years of experience working in a biotech research laboratory environment
  • In-depth understanding of research laboratory operations and good knowledge of laboratory safety issues
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and project management skills
  • Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective and positive working relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Good command of written and spoken English and ability to work independently
  • Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
